Jacob Phillips is a middle-aged man whose failed first marriage left him with little more than two sons: one that he never knew and another that despised him. And though he never forgot what caused each of those rifts in relationship, most days he managed not to remember – that is until he learns of an accident involving his first wife.
"...Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Col. 3:13
In the space of a tiny hospital room, Jacob is once more brought face to face with his past and the decision to forgive, the implications of which affect not only his own future but also that of his new family.
What must Jacob forgive? Nothing more than an ex-wife who aborted their first child without his knowledge, and a second son who blamed him for the divorce. And yet, in the last Adam there is hope and a chance at new life.
